Pittman Motors

More Information

Pittman offers wide variety of products such as brush commutated and brushless DC motors, and gearmotors. The motors can be customized to include encoders, gearheads, timing belt pulleys, brakes, cables, connectors, modified shafts, RFI suppression and other special configurations. With features like cost-effective and small lead-time make Pittman motors grow with the intention of being a world-class manufacturer of DC motors.

Advanced Vector Servo

Advanced Vector Servo (AVS) is a low cost, digital, brushless AC servo drive and motor package. AVS drive's proprietary sinewave vector commutation, derived from encoder feedback, produces ultra smooth motion with virtually no torque or velocity ripple. AVS performs closed loop speed and position controls using simple "step and direction" signals, making it an easy replacement for stepper systems that require higher throughput.

AVS drive has the option to be configured in analog torque mode. Anti-hunt technology allows higher gains without servo jitter and "hunting". AVS motors are NEMA 17, 23 and 34 sized and can deliver 70 oz-in to 600 oz-in at speeds up to 6,000 RPM. The AVS system is CE marked

LC Actuator

These super-compact actuators offer high performance linear positioning at an economical price. The standard or anti-backlash lead screw drives through the center of the linear bearing slide, the ideal location. A variety of leads are available for the stainless steel screw, giving the optionof fine resolution or high speed positioning.

Aluminum construction of the motor mount and actuator body and the availability of stainless steel rails and balls for the linear bearings give the option of a highly corrosion resistant actuator. A variety of options are available including an aluminum dust cover and photo and proximity sensor kits.

IMS Motors
The MDrive 17 and MDrive 23 high torque Integrated Motor and Drivers are ideal for designers who want the simplicity of a motor with on-board electronics, but without the expense of an indexer on each axis. The low cost MDrive puts the system designer in the driver seat to decide the best method of control. MDrive's integrated electronics eliminates the need to run the motor cabling through the machine, reducing the potential for problems due to electrical noise.
